Melodee Pomerantz

The Iowa chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation announced that Melodee Pomerantz has been hired as its executive director. Pomerantz, who has more than 30 years of event planning and marketing experience, is the former owner of Pomerantz Events, a corporate and nonprofit event planning company. The foundation’s mission is to find a cure for the life-threatening genetic disease, which affects about 30,000 children and adults in the United States and 70,000 people worldwide. Each year the Iowa chapter host events such as the Wine Opener, Shoot for a Cure and Great Strides. Funds raised through these events have helped spur dramatic progress in drug development and therapies for those with cystic fibrosis.
