Portion of 12th Street to close for Combat Hunger event
Beginning noon Wednesday, 12th Street between Locust Street and Grand Avenue will be closed in preparation for STAR 102.5’s Combat Hunger event to be held Thursday and Friday. On-air personalities and volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food and cash donations between 5 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both days at the corner of 12th and Locust. The street will reopen on Friday, Nov. 16, at 6 p.m. Downtown commuters are encouraged to plan ahead for the closure.
