Portion of Third Street to close Saturday
A section of Third Street in downtown Des Moines from Walnut Street to Court Avenue will be closed to traffic on Saturday from approximately 5 a.m. to noon while a construction crane is set up at the Neal Smith Federal Building, 210 Walnut St. City officials said that access for local vehicles will be maintained. The project involves replacement of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment on the building’s roof, a city official said.
