Primary Health Care receives quality improvement recognition grant
Primary Health Care Inc., a nonprofit community health center with locations throughout Central Iowa, received $66,000 and national recognition of its improvements in clinical quality measures from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The supplemental grant will be used to further improve health outcomes and the value of health care the center delivers to the underserved and underinsured living in Central Iowa, the organization said in a news release. In August, Primary Health Care received two Quality Improvement Awards from HHS, including recognition for Advancing Health Information Technology and being a Quality, Patient-Centered Medical Home. Statewide, community health centers received a total of more than $1.3 million in quality awards in the past fiscal year.
