Campus Compact, a national coalition of nearly 1,100 colleges and universities, today announced a new partnership with Principal Financial Group Inc. to create the Principal Community Scholars Program. The program, being piloted in Iowa and California, will provide scholarships to college students in business and related fields across both states. Open to Campus Compact member institutions only, the program will bring students together in a network and support them in planning community-focused projects on their campuses. The program will offer $1,000 scholarships to students who complete a community project, participate in a learning community and complete other requirements. Principal plans to offer key sessions related to project planning and networking to advance the program development.
