Oakridge Neighborhood has received a $150,000 grant from Principal Foundation. The grant will support adult workforce readiness provided by Oakridge Neighborhood’s Family and Workforce Programs, helping provide equitable education and work opportunities for underserved populations. “This grant is key in supporting our mission-critical programming to equip our clients with the education, skills and experiences needed to build meaningful careers, earn family-sustaining wages and have the opportunities to succeed,” said Teree Caldwell-Johnson, president and CEO of the nonprofit Oakridge Neighborhood. Oakridge provides early childhood education, safe housing, nutrition security, workforce readiness training and financial literacy. “We are proud to support such a robust set of wraparound programming for families,” said Jo Christine Miles, director of Principal Foundation and community relations.
