DCA Partners, a growth-oriented private equity firm, has invested in Smash Park Entertainment Group, a move that will help accelerate the “eatertainment” company’s expansion, the two groups announced. The investment by Roseville, Calif.-based DCA Partners was described in a news release as a “significant minority growth investment.” Smash Park was founded in 2018 by Monty and Kerri Lockyear. The indoor/outdoor venue combines recreation and competitive socializing with food and beverages. Smash Park, with locations in West Des Moines and Pella, is best known for introducing pickleball to the Des Moines area. New venues are under construction in Minneapolis and Omaha. “This investment by DCA Partners will be an instrumental part of our expansion plan and enable us to bring the unique Smash Park experience to more markets across the country,” Monty Lockyear said in a prepared statement.
