Public can get sneak peek at NCAA first-round teams during open practice on Wednesday

With the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament scheduled for this week at Wells Fargo Arena, the public will get a sneak peek at the teams who will be playing during an open practice session Wednesday. This is the first time the tournament has played in Des Moines since 2019. The open practice is free for the public to attend. All eight teams scheduled to play in Des Moines will get 40 minutes on the court at Wells Fargo to practice for Thursday’s first-round game. The second round is scheduled for Saturday. Doors for the practice on Wednesday will open at 10 a.m. The practice sessions for each team are:

  • 11 a.m. Howard.
  • 11:45 a.m. Illinois.
  • 12:30 p.m. Kansas.
  • 1:15 p.m. Arkansas.
  • 2 p.m. Texas.
  • 2:45 p.m. Texas A&M.
  • 3:30 p.m. Colgate.
  • 4:15 p.m. Penn State.
