Public health scholar addresses youth mental health at UNI lecture

Ebonee T. Johnson, an assistant professor in the Department of Community and Behavioral Health at the University of Iowa, will be the keynote presenter at the 2023 Carlton-Mellichamp Lecture in Education at the University of Northern Iowa on April 26. Johnson is an emerging scholar in the field of youth mental health and will present on the topic of “Utilizing Community-Engaged Research to Build Capacity in Stakeholders to Address Youth Mental Health.” The event, which is the fourth in a series supported by a donation to the UNI Foundation by Suzanne Carlton and Duncan Mellichamp, is free and open to UNI students, faculty and staff, as well as interested area professionals. The lecture will take place in the Schindler Education Center Budke Auditorium and will be preceded by a reception in the College of Education’s second-floor atrium. Registration is encouraged on the event website.
