Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Des Moines officials are considering making changes to the regulations, including removing the requirement that an owner must be present when a dwelling is being rented and removing any cumulative number of days that an owner must live in the house. In addition, officials are reviewing whether to propose a limit on the number of dwelling units owned by an individual or capping the length of time the dwelling may remain a short-term rental.
