The Ankeny City Council on Monday approved a development agreement with Purfoods LLC, confirming the company’s plans to invest in a newly constructed 46,000-square-foot office and fulfillment center facility. The project is expected to retain nearly 150 jobs and add more than 50 additional jobs. The city will provide property tax rebates on the value of the new construction for seven years. Purfoods has based its headquarters and fulfillment operations in Ankeny since 2003. The company delivers tens of thousands of fresh meals each week across the United States.
