Limited tickets are now available for the Purple Soirée, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association and LCS Foundation. The event, launched in 2019 but postponed the past two years due to COVID, will be held on Friday, June 24, at the Meadows Event & Conference Center in Altoona. The Purple Soirée celebrates and honors the lives of people affected by Alzheimer’s and all other dementias and features a reception, gourmet dinner and entertainment by the Purple Xperience, a five-person Prince tribute band. All proceeds from the event are used to support the free programs and services provided by the Alzheimer’s Association, including the 24/7 Helpline, support groups, community education, and research to find future treatments and ultimately a cure. Tickets and sponsorships are available now by visiting PurpleSoireeIowa.org.
