Pyramid Theatre announces leadership changes

Douglas, an acclaimed performer, succeeds Tiffany Johnson, co-founder of the theater. Alexis Davis, former managing director, will now serve as producer. Pyramid Theatre Company is Des Moines’ only Black theater, with a mission to share the talents of Black artists and playwrights with the community. “I am very excited about the opportunity to help revitalize the arts scene in Des Moines, especially in the Black Community,” Douglas said in a prepared statement. “Art heals, and I am looking forward to bringing healing to Des Moines through art by Pyramid Theatre Company.”
