Qdoba to make Des Moines debut on Friday

Qdoba Mexican Grill is set to open its first store in Des Moines at 2105 Ingersoll Ave. on Sept. 28. at 10:30am. The first 50 guests to visit the fast-casual restaurant will receive free burritos for a year. The 65-seat restaurant is the first Iowa location for the Milwaukee-based restaurant management firm, Roaring Fork. The company owns 38 Qdoba franchises in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. It recently purchased the rights to expand the brand in Des Moines, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, Iowa City and Ames. Roaring Fork has committed to opening six stores in the next four years throughout the state. There is currently a Qdoba in Clive, and one was in Ames, but it closed in the spring of 2011.
