Small businesses have saved more than $10,000 a month on lower oil prices in some cases, money that allowed for added investments or savings, Des Moines-based marketing firm Quester found in a study with CNBC. Quester interviewed 150 owners of small businesses from Dec. 26 to Jan. 2. The business representatives tended to report greater profits because of the lower crude oil prices, with 52 percent saying they saved more than  $10,000 in a month. The extra money led to increased savings, expansions, and raises and bonuses for workers. The interviewees’ outlook for future crude oil prices was mixed.
