Raccoon River Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises $22,000
Raccoon River Valley area residents who participated in the second annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Panora at Michael Mills Memorial Park on Saturday raised $22,000 to fund care, support and research for the Alzheimer’s Association. The total beat the inaugural fundraising total of $19,000. Team Lake Panorama, led by Walk Chair Dave Grove, was the top fundraising team this year, raising more than $11,000. The Walk in Panora will be followed by the Des Moines Walk to End Alzheimer’s at the State Capitol on Saturday, Oct. 1. To register or donate, visit alz.org/walk.
