Dana Ramundt, president of The Dana Co. insurance agency in Des Moines, has been named the business director of the Vaughan Institute of Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business. Ramundt, a 1974 UI graduate, is a member of the Iowa Insurance Hall of Fame and is a longtime member of the Vaughan Institute’s board. He replaces Larry Hershberger, who is retiring as the Vaughan Institute director in July. Thomas Berry-Stoelzle, professor of finance in the Tippie College, will become the institute’s faculty director. The institute offers a variety of programs and classes for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing careers in risk management and insurance.
