Red-light, speed cameras bring in $87,953 for the city in October
Five red-light cameras, a fixed speed camera on Interstate 235 and a mobile speed camera unit that changes locations throughout the community issued more than 5,700 citations during October, according to a monthly report released by the city of Des Moines.
The city collected $127,077 in fines, which generated $87,953 in revenue for the city. Drivers can pay their traffic camera citations online here.
