REG reports second fire at Louisiana plant this year
Ames-based Renewable Energy Group today reported that an employee and three contractors were hurt in a fire at REG’s Geismar, La., biorefinery. The fire was contained in four hours, the company reported. The injured workers were taken to a hospital. Two employees were hurt in an April fire at the plant, which produces renewable hydrocarbon fuel.
