Ames-based Renewable Energy Group, Inc. sold 14.8% more biofuel in the second quarter, year over year, but still saw its net loss rise to $57.6 million. Adjusted earnings showed a loss of $42.3 million. Revenues were $560.6 million, a decrease of 3.2%. Revenues were affected by an 18.1% lower average selling price for biodiesel. Net loss from continuing operations attributable to common stockholders was $57.6 million, compared with net income of $28.3 million in the second quarter of 2018.
