A report released yesterday by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities found that the state of Iowa would lose $237 million in federal funding in 2014 under Congressman Paul Ryan’s budget plan.

The state would lose $2.1 billion from 2013 through 2021, according to a press release from the Iowa Policy Project.

The plan released by Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who chairs the House Budget Committee, would costs states and localities an estimated 22 percent of their federal funding in 2014, the report said.
