Retailers to get a treat this Halloween
A National Retail Federation survey predicts consumers will spend up to $8 billion this Halloween, Reuters reported.
The average person will spend $79.82 on decorations, candy and costumes this year, up from $72.31 last year. Halloween is the eighth-largest selling season, with consumers spending far more during the winter holidays, Mother’s Day and the Super Bowl.
The survey polled 9,393 consumers from Sept. 5 to Sept. 11 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percent.
