Reynolds names members of 2020 Census Complete Count Committee
Gov. Kim Reynolds on Thursday named 30 people to the Iowa 2020 Census Complete Count Committee. The committee, which will be chaired by Lt. Gov. Adam Gregg, with Secretary of State Paul Pate as vice chairman, is charged with promoting participation in the 2020 census. “Iowans have a long history of doing their civic duty and participating in the Census,” Reynolds said in a release. “An accurate count of the population is important for redistricting and the allocation of billions of dollars in federal funds. We appreciate the strong interest in this committee and hope their work will help Iowa be first in the nation in 2020 Census participation.”
