Guardian Pharmacy Services, the third-largest U.S. long-term care pharmacy company, today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with Right Dose Pharmacy, an independent long-term care pharmacy that operates locations in Cedar Rapids and Ankeny. The strategic partnership expands Atlanta-based Guardian’s presence in the Midwest and is the company’s first Iowa venture. “We have worked hard to earn our reputation as a company that provides exceptional customer care, and we know partnering with Guardian will only enhance the services we offer,” said Rockford Anderson, owner of Right Dose. In addition to Anderson, all 24 Right Dose employees will continue to be employed at the Iowa locations and the company expects to hire five additional staff members in 2018. Guardian, which has added five new pharmacy partners in 2017, said its local-autonomy business model enables pharmacy operators to participate in local ownership and benefit from Guardian’s experience in high-growth, specialty pharmacies.
