River restoration workshops planned for northeast Iowa

Iowa Rivers Revival and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will host meetings in northeast Iowa to discuss river restoration benefits and practices. The workshops are geared toward landowners, natural resource professionals, engineers, paddlers, anglers, local Natural Resources and Conservation Service and Resource Conservation & Development agencies, county conservation employees and other interested individuals. The presentations will focus on the Turkey and Maquoketa rivers, but will have relevant information for other streams in the region. The free workshops will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch provided at a cost to participants. More information can be found here.
