Ropple is Bankers Trust’s new chief information officer

Edward “Ted” Ropple has been hired as chief information officer at Bankers Trust Co. His career in information technology spans more than 25 years. Most recently, Ropple was vice president and director of information technology for Bangor Savings Bank, the largest independent bank in Maine, according to a release. He has held high-level technology leadership and consulting roles in the civil construction and health care industries. Kopple attended the University of Lowell in Lowell, Mass., majoring in history and political science. He is a Microsoft Corp. certified systems engineer, certified Novell Inc. netware engineer and Groupwise engineer and a Cisco Systems Inc. certified network associate.
