Rotary Club Bingo Bash raises nearly $100,000 for local causes

93 wordsAll Latest News, Arts and Culture, Nonprofits and PhilanthropyThe Rotary Club of Des Moines AM announced that more than 1,100 people came to play bingo at its annual signature fundraiser, Bingo Bash, which was held Feb. 24 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The event raised just under $100,000. Proceeds will benefit three local causes: human trafficking prevention with the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, mental health with No Foot Too Small and food insecurity with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantries. In its third year, the Bingo Bash is one of the largest charity bingo events in Iowa.
