The John Ruan family will be presented with the Bravo Award at Bravo Greater Des Moines’ annual Awards Gala on Feb. 5 at Hy-Vee Hall.

The award is given to a company, individual or family that has made a significant contribution to arts and culture in Greater Des Moines. Bravo Board President Brian Laurenzo said the Ruan family has been a “pillar in our community for decades” and the family’s commitment to arts and culture has been “impactful and instrumental.”
