A federal judge on Tuesday denied the state of Iowa’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Iowa’s “ag gag” law, which makes undercover investigations at slaughterhouses, puppy mills and factory farms illegal.

Cedar Rapids Gazette: A federal judge on Tuesday denied the state of Iowa’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Iowa’s “ag gag” law, which makes undercover investigations at slaughterhouses, puppy mills and factory farms illegal. Rita Bettis, ACLU of Iowa legal director, said this allows the groups that filed the suit to continue to challenge the law as a violation of free speech.
