Ryan Companies US Inc. has named Brad Schoenfelder president of the company’s Midwest region, effective today. Schoenfelder will continue to work out of the Des Moines office; the Midwest region also includes offices in Cedar Rapids and Davenport. “For those who know Brad, this promotion will not come as a surprise. He has earned the respect of the company’s owners, customers and team members,” said Jeff Smith, Ryan’s national president overseeing the company’s seven regions. Schoenfelder joined Ryan in 1999, and recently had been vice president of development. He succeeds Marc Gullickson, who announced plans more than a year ago to retire. Gullickson, who has been with Ryan 20 years, plans to stay on to focus on regional development efforts. The company named Lydia Brown and Brian Clark to director of development positions. Brown, who joined the company in December 2014, is founder of Ascent, a group aimed at helping female entrepreneurs expand their businesses. Clark joined Ryan Companies in October from Confluence, a landscape architecture firm he co-founded.
