Sales increase for beers brewed in Iowa
The beer brewing movement continues to grow in the state, reports Radio Iowa. The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division says it shows a 16.3% increase in total gallons sold of Iowa-brewed beer, while gallons sold of non-Iowa-brewed beers dropped 1.7%. Iowa beers are still only a drop in the keg compared with other brands, Radio Iowa reports — there were nearly 71 million gallons of nonnative beer sold in the state in the last fiscal year, compared with 795,000 gallons of Iowa-brewed beer.
