Sales of new vehicles on the rise, but still not up to 10-year high
Sales of new vehicles have steadily increased the last five years after bottoming out at 98,618 for the 12 months ending December 2009, according to a report from the Iowa Legislature’s Legislative Services Agency. Sales of cars, multi-purpose vehicles and light trucks totaled 145,011 for the year ending in February. The 10-year peak was 155,460 vehicles for the 12 months ending September 2004.
