Sammons Financial employees raise $175,000 for local nonprofits

Sammons Financial Group leaders and employees and local nonprofits gathered Monday morning at the company’s West Des Moines office to announce its latest round of donations.

As part of its 2025 Community Outreach Program, employees nominate and vote for charities, selecting 25 local nonprofit organizations to support. This year, the West Des Moines office raised $175,000 for those 25 nonprofits.

The initiative, started in 2018, encourages employees to nominate their favorite local charities to be considered for a financial grant from Sammons Financial Group. The employees who choose to make nominations educate their co-workers on the mission of the organization and why they are passionate about it. Employees then vote for the organizations they would like the company to support financially.

Nonprofit recipients were invited to the West Des Moines office to meet with employees and talk about their missions on Monday. The following organizations received funding from the 2025 Community Outreach Program:
