Sauer-Danfoss reports third-quarter net income decrease
Ames-based Sauer-Danfoss Inc. yesterday reported net income of $40.6 million, or 84 cents per share, for the third quarter, down from $57 million, or $1.18 per share, for the third quarter of 2011.
Net sales for the quarter declined 15 percent to $410.3 million, compared with $483.3 million for the third quarter of 2011. Net income for the first nine months of 2012 was $161.8 million, or $3.34 per share, compared with $202.4 million, or $4.18 per share, in the same period a year ago.
