Sayers hired as executive director of JEDCO

Sayers, who owns Bijou Grafix, will take over from Joe Benesh, who will continue to serve the organization and provide support in the transition. According to a news release, Sayers was a longtime board member of the Drake Neighborhood Association and is a current board member of the Roosevelt Cultural District and Jordahl Academy/Choice Charter School. She also volunteers on the Beaverdale Park Restoration Committee, led the Witmer Park renovation committee, and chaired the 42nd Streetscape Project. Brian Vahle, JEDCO board president, said Sayers will be an integral part of meeting the most pressing needs of the organization’s members. Sayers said in the release that she has a passion for connecting people to resources to make projects happen. “I especially enjoy facilitating the larger private/public ventures,” she said.
