Saylorville marina is sold
Saylorville Lake Marina has been sold to Vinings Marine Group LLC, an Atlanta, Ga.-based management company that owns marinas in Alabama, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina and Virginia.
“The marina is well positioned for the next level as part of a national marine management group,” Dan Stanbrough, president of Stanbrough Companies, said in a press release. Stanbrough and his wife, Tammy, owned the marina and had made large-scale improvements. “The response to the changes made during the last two years has been extremely positive,” Stanbrough said, “and the Vinings Marine Group’s expertise and national experience will prove beneficial to the thousands of people who recreate at the lake.”
A revamped marina was unveiled in May 2005 after approximately $6 million in improvements. The updates included $3.5 million worth of boat slips, a 60-seat restaurant, boat and paddle boat rentals, a banquet facility, a children’s recreation program, shower and restroom facilities, fueling facilities, inside and outside boat storage facilities and an aerobics studio.
