SBA backs $9.2M in central Iowa loans

The U.S. Small Business Administration guaranteed 15 private loans for a combined $9.2 million in Central Iowa in March.

The companies plan to create a combined 75 jobs and retain 221. 

Among the largest loans guaranteed were: 

— $1.9 million for Two Rivers Glass and Door Inc. of West Des Moines, which plans to create 23 jobs.

— $1.6 million for TNT Enterprise, Inc., a landscape architecture firm, which plans to create six jobs. 

— $1.5 million for Ankeny Urban Air LLC in Ankeny, which will retain 70 jobs at the amusement and recreation business.

— $1.4 million for Om Shree Yogi LLC of Des Moines, a restaurant that will create 25 jobs.

The Central Iowa figures cover Polk, Story, Boone, Dallas, Madison, Warren, Marion, Jasper and Marshall counties.

Statewide, the SBA backed 30 loans for $17.3 million to Iowa businesses, 18 new and 12 existing. The companies combined planned to create 166 new jobs and to retain 341.
