The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Iowa District Office on Tuesday announced the winners of its Top Lender awards for Fiscal Year 2020. U.S. Bank, which was recognized as both the SBA’s Top Overall Lender and top 7(a) Lender for Iowa, had 38 approved SBA-backed loans totaling $1,508,400. U.S. Bank was also named SBA Top Lender in both the Small Business Start-ups and Rural Markets categories, with 19 of its loans to start-up businesses and 19 loans to rural small businesses. Lincoln Savings Bank selected by the SBA team for the SBA Turnaround Award based on its increase in SBA 7(a) loans from eight loans for $6,549,300 in fiscal 2019 to 30 loans for $15,120,600 in fiscal 2020. FY 20. Lincoln Savings also received the Top Lender awards in the Women-owned Small Business category, with 12 SBA-backed loans to women-owned businesses in Iowa, and the Export award, with three exporting loans approved.
