Schultz to lead Loras College’s premedical program
Loras College in Dubuque has hired Dr. Ulrike Schultz as director of its new postbaccalaureate premedical program and prehealth professions adviser. Loras launched its one-year, postbaccalaureate premedical program in January. It’s specifically designed for individuals who have completed a bachelor’s degree but don’t have the prerequisite courses to apply to one of the following professional schools: medicine, optometry, dentistry, podiatry, physical therapy, physician assistant or veterinary medicine. Previously, she taught anatomy and labs at Loras on an adjunct basis for nearly six years. Schultz received a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Iowa in 2008, and her medical degree in 1995 from the University of Tübingen, a German public research university.
