The Science Center of Iowa and Blank IMAX Dome Theater (SCI) will launch its second season of Mixology Night on Friday, Sept. 7, by offering free general admission. Featuring live music from local bands, a cash bar and a live science program with an adult twist, Mixology Night is designed to provide people ages 21 and over an evening to experience SCI without children. The event will be held the first Friday of every month from September through April. New items for the 2012-2013 events will include signature cocktails with science-themed names like the “Tesla-tini.” The kickoff will feature music from The Snacks and fiery experiments with SCI’s live program, “Fireworks.” For more information, visit www.sciowa.org/mixology.
