Central Iowa women interested in exploring the possibility of mentorship or needing inspiration and guidance in their careers will have an opportunity when 19 area chambers of commerce convene to host simultaneous events with one common purpose. 

The second annual Metro-Wide Mentoring for Women will be held April 18 throughout the Greater Des Moines area. The following chambers and organizations will host events this year: Adel, Altoona, Ankeny, Carlisle, Clive, Des Moines Downtown, Des Moines West Side, FuseDSM, Grimes, Grinnell, Indianola, Johnston, Knoxville, Newton, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Urbandale, Waukee and West Des Moines. 

The events will start at various times throughout the day.

Various mentors consisting of Greater Des Moines’ most influential business leaders are scheduled to be present at each location. Mentor roundtables, panel discussions, fast networking and coaching are among the programming planned at locations. The cost to participate in Metro-Wide Mentoring for Women also varies according to location.
