Shelton named global VP of R&D at Kemin Nutrisurance

According to a news release, Shelton will join the Kemin Nutrisurance leadership team. Before joining Kemin, Shelton spent 18 years with Cargill, where he served in research and development as innovation development manager before accepting positions where he served in Beijing, the Netherlands and Moscow. Most recently, he was Cargill’s chief of party for the United States Agency for International Development’s TRANSFORM program, a public-private partnership focused on improving human health through animal agriculture. Kimberly Nelson, president of Kemin Nutrisurance, said Shelton’s background gives him the “global perspective and business savvy needed to grow our portfolio of products and services.” Shelton, who received his Ph.D. in animal science from Louisiana State University, said he’s looking forward to joining Kemin, which has “a long history of scientific breakthroughs and a spirit of entrepreneurship that aligns with my career path, and I’m eager to merge these together to move Kemin Nutrisurance forward in the global marketplace.”
