Founded by Bobby Shomo and Steve Madsen in 2010, the agency also has regional offices in Jewell, Colfax, Prairie City, Newton, Monroe and Mingo. “Shomo-Madsen Insurance is excited to join the Keystone team, and we look forward to networking with Keystone agents,” said Shomo, president of Shomo-Madson. “We can’t wait to take advantage of the many services available in order to better serve our customers, train our employees, and position our agency for growth in the coming years.” Keystone, which is ranked No. 4 on Insurance Journal’s 2020 list of Top 20 Property/Casualty Agency Partnerships, has nearly 300 agency partnerships across its 17-state area. It first entered the Iowa market in January 2020 with a partnership with Kingsgate Insurance in Fort Dodge.
