Sid Jones, CEO and president of Home State Bank, retires

Home State Bank, located in Jefferson, announced the retirement of CEO and Bank President Sid Jones after 39 years of service. Jones joined the bank in 1983 and was elected as CEO and bank president in 2009. The board has voted to transfer CEO duties to President Bob Allen. Jones has been recognized for his leadership, strong ethics and values, and is credited for the bank’s success through its culture. He has served on many organizations in the banking industry and has received numerous accolades, including being named Outstanding Leader in the Small Companies category of the Des Moines Register’s 2016 Top Workplaces Award program. Jones will assume Doug McDermott’s position as secretary and treasurer of Greene Investment Co., the holding company for both Home State Bank and Raccoon Valley Bank. He will remain on the board of directors of Home State Bank and join the board of Raccoon Valley Bank.
