Sioux City casino owner plans to push forward with new casino
The owner of Sioux City’s Argosy Casino promises to push forward with a $100 million Hollywood-themed casino in Sioux City, despite being passed over by its nonprofit gaming partner, the Sioux City Journal reported.
Penn National Gaming Inc., the owner, said that no other operator in the country has the financial ability to move forward without delay.
Penn and the nonprofit Missouri River Historical Development, which holds the casino license, have been in ongoing discussions about replacing the existing riverboat casino.
