Sioux City native is Land O’Lakes’ first female CEO
Land O’Lakes Inc.’s board of directors on Thursday named Sioux City native Beth Ford as president and CEO of the Twin Cities-based food and agricultural giant.
Ford, who assumes leadership of the company on Aug. 1, following the retirement of Chris Policinski, is the first female CEO in the farmer-owned co-op’s 97-year history. She also becomes one of just 24 female CEOs among all Fortune 500 companies. In a statement, Ford said she was “humbled and honored” by the chance to lead the co-op.
