The Des Moines Social Club will mark the addition of cooking classes to its lineup of educational offerings with a launch event scheduled for the end of this month. The Great Pig Out, complete with a hog roast, will give attendees the first look at the Social Club’s Culinary Loft, which will offer a variety of culinary arts classes for all experience levels. Classes will fall under three categories — series, food-focused and holiday. The launch event will take place at the Social Club from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 29. Admission is $20 per person.
