A program that will help Warren County residents and businesses pool their purchase power to lower the price for installing solar power is launching this month. According to a news release, the Grow Solar Warren County program is coordinated by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association and the Nature Conservancy in Iowa, with support from the Warren County Economic Development Commission and the cities of Indianola and Carlisle. The program will provide residents and businesses with the opportunity to invest in their own renewable energy solar installations with potential savings on installation cost, while also helping businesses reach sustainability goals. According to the release, free, hourlong, virtual educational sessions will be held in the coming months for the public to get more information.
