Several restaurants in the Des Moines metro and elsewhere around Iowa — especially in the college towns of Ames, home of Iowa State University, and Iowa City, where the University of Iowa fuels a thriving bar scene — are temporarily closing their doors as the number of COVID-19 cases climbs.
