Spalding reappointed as ISU business dean

David Spalding, Raisbeck Endowed Dean of the Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University, has been appointed to a new five-year term. Spalding’s first term including record enrollment growth and increased student and faculty diversity. He also worked to increase donor support of the college and to raise its visibility, ISU reported. Spalding has managed record enrollment growth while also increasing student and faculty diversity, increasing philanthropic support, and raising the external visibility of the college across the state and nationally. Spalding held several high positions at Dartmouth College before joining ISU in 2013. He also helped lead Chase Manhattan, First National Bank of Chicago, GE Capital Corporate Finance Group, Lehman Brothers, and the Cypress Group, a private equity firm he co-founded and co-managed.
